Athletics stars show wares today
Four gold medalists from the Myanmar SEA Games and the poster boy of the recently-concluded Palarong Pambansa are expected to figure prominently in athletics as action in the 2014 Philippine National Games fires off today in different venues around Metro Manila.
Henry Dagmil, Christopher Ulboc Jr., Archand Bagsit, Fil-American Eric Cray and sprint phenom Jomar Udtohan are poised to win some of the 14 gold medals at stake in the centerpiece event.
Dagmil will participate in long jump, Ulboc in the 3000-meter steeplechase, Bagsit in the 400-meter and Cray in the 400-meter hurdles, while Udtohan is slated to join the Open tournament aimed at discovering future national team members.
Dagmil, Ulboc, Bagsit and Cray are keen on bringing their A-games against their more-determined rivals.
