Company CEO King Alandy Dy, a researcher who came from a family of shippers, said thousands of freight containers are now being moved every week internationally via their
platform.

In August 2022, the Filipino founded supply chain startup secured $13.5 million (P747 million) during its recent Series A funding to further expand their operation. This brings to $17.5 million funding raised by Expedock, including the $4 million seed fund raised in 2021.

The Series A round was led by New York City-based venture capital firm Insight Partners. It
attracted participating investors such as Neo and Pear, executives from Salesforce, Meta, eBay, Clearmetal, and Project44, as well as logistics giants MOL, Wilhelmsen, and HHLA
through Motion Ventures.

After three years of operation, Expedock has reinvented how supply chain businesses are able to harness their own data. “We learned that while freight operators were skeptical at first, operators go from crying from overwork to crying tears of joy because our AI processed a 38-page commercial invoice at 99.97 percent accuracy,” said Alandy Dy.

With its accomplishments, Expedock was one of the winners at the Plug and Play's Spring Summit 2021, which celebrated more than 98 startups.
