Here’s how you can help Filipino youth get early childhood education

MovEd Organization invites everyone to join their mission of giving Filipino children the gift of education

There is no better way to equip the youth for the future than by giving them a proper education. But for many, the chance to even be inside a classroom is a great challenge to overcome due to various circumstances. On a mission to help families, especially children, get a chance for a good education is non-profit organization MovEd.

Through the years, MovEd has provided early childhood care and development programs in underserved communities through its learning labs. According to the organization, “years one to five are the most critical year for a child’s brain development.” That’s why giving them the right learning tools and spaces is essential.

Since its launch, MovEd has established over 19 learning labs in the National Capital Region and Bicol. It has served a total of 6,006 children and their families, and it aims to continue to grow that number, especially with the coming school year. The organization, however, needs more help to support more children and communities.

“As another school year is about to begin, we are knocking at your generous hearts in the hopes that you could join forces with us in giving the priceless gift of hope to the next generation,” the organization says. “This year, we [want] to create a wave of change, and hoping that you can help us spread our word, mission, and call to action to ten friends out there. For only P1,000 (USD 18) per month (for 10 months) or P10,000 (USD 180) a year, you are giving a child an irreplaceable opportunity and a priceless gift of an early childhood education.”

Apart from sending donations, people can also be a Mover and extend a helping hand by being volunteers. Movers can share their time, talent, and skills as Teachers for the Day, Master Storytellers, and Chefs for the Day, among others.
