PRO-6 nets P2.6-M shabu in Iloilo City


ILOILO CITY – The Police Regional Office-6 seized suspected shabu worth more than P2.6 million here on Tuesday, April 24.

The Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit-6 under Police Capt. Glenn Soliman confiscated  a total of 390 grams of shabu from suspects alias Mico and Ryan.

The suspects were caught after they sold shabu valued at P1.6 million to a poseur-buyer.

Mico also yielded 30 sachets of shabu weighing 150 grams and valued at more than P1 million.

The suspect was jailed for a drug case in 2017 and was released after he availed of plea bargaining.

Ryan surrendered to police during the “Oplan: Tokhang” program of the Duterte administration.

Suspects are now facing charges of violating Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The PRO-6 lauded the RPDEU-6 and the Iloilo City Police Office-Arevalo Police Station for arresting the suspect.
