P5-M shabu, Ecstasy seized in Central Luzon


Police apprehended eight suspected drug pushers and seized shabu and Ecstasy worth a total of P5 million in Angeles City, Tarlac, and Zambales on Wednesday night, April 24.

Zhe, a Chinese, and Lexie were nabbed in Angeles City and yielded 87 grams of suspected shabu valued at P591,600, two kilos of suspected Ecstasy (a party drug) worth P4 million, chewable Ecstasy tablets, Ketamine in salt and crystal form, and liquid marijuana vape, with a total estimated value of P4,997,600. Also seized from the suspects was a .22 caliber pistol and bullets.

Japar, 48, security guard, and Abdul, 47, truck driver, were caught in Gerona, Tarlac. Recovered from them was 30 grams of shabu worth P204,000.

Tio and Kadafi, both natives of Marawi City, were arrested in Tarlac City. Found in their possession was 30 grams of shabu valued at P204,000.

Tamil, a member of the Abolencia Criminal Group, and Jessa, 24, were nabbed in Barangay Matain, Subic, Zambales. Seized from them were 105.8 grams of shabu valued at P719,440.

Central Luzon police chief Police Brig. Gen. Jose S. Hidalgo Jr. said that these significant drug seizures underscore the success of an intelligence-driven strategy aimed at curbing drug supply.
