Police Regional Office 4-A chief Brig. Gen. Paul Kenneth Lucas identified the suspect as Darwin, 27, considered a high-value individual and a resident of Barangay Santol.

Confiscated from Darwin were 14 heat-sealed plastic sachets and five knot-tied plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 563 grams and valued at P3.8 million and the buy-bust money.

Recovered shabu is in the custody of the Batangas Provincial Forensic Unit for examination.

Lucas commended the accomplishment of the Batangas Police Provincial Office in the campaign against illegal drugs.

“This significant accomplishment is a testament of our sincere and dedication to eradicate the proliferation of illegal drugs in the region. Hindi titigil ang kapulisan ng PRO 4-A upang masugpo ang kalakalan ng iligal na droga sa rehiyon lalo na sa probinsya ng Batangas, sisiguraduhin natin na mapapanagot ang mga tao sa likod ng malaking halaga ng droga na nakakapasok sa probinsya ng Batangas,” Lucas said.

(The PRO 4-A will not stop suppressing the illegal drug trade in the region, especially in the province of Batangas, and we will make sure that the people behind the large number of drugs that enter the province of Batangas will be held accountable)
