PRO-1 seizes P3.1-M shabu, marijuana


CAMP FLORENDO, La Union – The Police Regional Office-1 seized suspected shabu and marijuana worth a total of P3.1 million in a two-day operation in Ilocos Sur, La Union, and Pangasinan from May 6 to 7.

Seven suspected drug pushers were arrested, Police Brig. Gen. Lou F. Evangelista, PRO-1 chief, said.

Evangelista commended operating units for their achievements.

“PRO-1 remains steadfast in its mission to uphold the law and protect communities from the scourge of illegal drugs, bolstering efforts to create a safer and drug-free environment for a secure and safe Ilocandia homeland for all,” Evangelista said.

Shabu valued at P625,056 and marijuana worth P2.5 million were seized from the suspects.

Evangelista said that all their anti-illegal drugs operations adhered to legal protocols.
