23,153 new teachers pass exams

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Board for Professional Teachers (BPT) announced that 11,120 elementary teachers out of 38,377 examinees (28.98%) and 12,033 secondary teachers out of 42,358 examinees (28.41%) successfully passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) given on January 26, 2014 in 15 testing centers all over the Philippines.

The top five new elementary teachers are: 1. Daisy Buenaventura  Reyes, Xavier University, 88.20; 2. Rachelle Anne Ramos Sindayen, University of the Philippines-Diliman, 88.00; 3. Angela Dianne Manangan Agustin, University of the Philippines-Diliman, 87.40; 4. Myrna Ricero  De Castro, Saint Bridget’s College,  87.20; Shaunell Mary Yap Josol, Bukidnon State College-Malaybalay, 87.20; 5       Van Thaddeus Caro  Cruz,            University of the Philippines-Diliman,     87.00;    Marian Michelle Dela Merced Navales, University of the Philippines-Diliman,        87.00;    Pauly Mariz Tampon  Recio, Cebu Normal University (Cebu State College), 87.00; Rica Alessandra De Los Reyes Young, Cebu Technological University-Main (For.Cscst), 87.00.

The top five new secondary teachers are: 1. Deidre Roldan Morales, University of the Philippines-Diliman, 88.40; Eduard Aldabon Pagtulon-An, Central Mindanao University, 88.40; 2. Zarina Isla Villadolid, University of the Philippines-Diliman,                88.20; 3. Francis Dianne Monteza  Lucido, Ateneo De Manila University-QC, 88.00; 4. Marian Mie Arac  Alimo-Ot, Central Philippine University, 87.60; Ace Igaña  Sandigan, De La Salle University-Manila, 87.60; 5. Ramon Batario  Cristobal, Central Colleges of the Philippines, 87.20.

The Board for Professional Teachers –Dr. Rosita L. Navarro, chairman; Dr. Paz I. Lucido, Dr. Paraluman R. Giron, and Dr. Nora M. Uy, members – said registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration in NCR will start on April 7, 2014.

Requirements for the issuance of Certificate of Registration and Professional Identification Card (ID) are the following:  1) duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal;  2) latest Community Tax Certificate (Cedula);  3) one passport size picture (colored with white background and complete nametag);  4) metered documentary stamp for the Oath Form;  and 5) the Initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P450 for 2014-2017.  Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
