Anne, John Lloyd headline Superbods 2014 grand finals
Boracay – Big revelations marked the grand finals of the Century Tuna Superbods Super Challenge 2014 held at the Pearl of the Pacific in Boracay recently.
Definitely bigger and sexier this year, the event saw Anne Curtis and John Lloyd Cruz – two of the hottest and most controversial showbiz personalities of their generation – together on stage.
John Lloyd sizzled as he danced in a sleeveless top and board shorts, revealing his flat tummy and toned arms, the product of a six-week intense workout complemented by the Century Tuna Superbods Diet.
Proud of his physical transformation he said, “If I can do it, anyone can.”
John Lloyd’s Century Tuna co-ambassador Anne, on the other hand personified hotness clad in a sheer, flowing blue dress.
The two flew to the country’s ultimate summer destination to hail this year’s Superbods grand winners Sara Polverini and Mauro Lumba, as well as first runners-up Alaiza Malinao and Marneil Anthony Lim, and second runners-up Catherine Almirante and Laurens Tolenaars.
Sara, a former child actress, and Mauro, an aspiring actor and member of Backroom’s Not your Ordinary Boy and Girl (NYOBG) group, brought home P500,000 each, and were awarded a year’s worth of Gold’s Gym subscription, and one year supply of Century Tuna products.
Meanwhile, “Boys Night Out” DJs Slick Rick, Tony Toni, and Sam YG, who took the Superbods Diet and Workout as celebrity challengers, were also present to reveal their slimmer bods.
Also spotted at the much-anticipated finals night were the “Sea Princess” Tessa Prieto-Valdes, Tim Yap, beauty queen-turned-model Patty Betita, and fashion designer Dennis Lustico, who served as judges, and Century Tuna Superbods 2012 grand winners Monika Sta. Maria and John Spainhour. The event was hosted by “Asia’s Next Top Model” mentor and supermodel Joey Mead-King, who dazzled everyone with her sheer orange cleavage and leg-baring dress.
Century Tuna Superbods Super Challenge 2014 was made possible by Air Asia Zest, Carbtrim, Gold’s Gym, Pearl of the Pacific, San Mig Zero, Solaire Resort & Casino, Belo Sun Protect, Gardenia, Medicard, Smart, The District, Zen Wellness Spa, Azure, Bite Me, Black Market, Nereku, Pink Salmon Clothing, SM Supermalls & SM Mall of Asia, Tony Galvez Salon, and Victor Ortega Salon.

Ramona Mauricio crowned Mutya ng Taguig 2014
Out of 25 beautiful contestants, Ramona Mauricio of Barangay Napindan, was chosen as Mutya ng Taguig 2014.
The annual beauty tilt, held recently at the SM Aura, has become a special event which people look forward to. The production of the beauty pageant this year was indeed elegant, or what they call in Tagalog parlance, “talagang pinaghandaan.”
Even Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano came early at the auditorium to see to it that all preparations are followed to the letter, particularly as the pageant is about women empowerment.
The production of the “Malong Dance” and “tinikling” was superb!
The first, second, third, and fourth runners-up were Kristine Bianca Quizon (Lower Bicutan), Jennah Lisa Fernandez (Bagumbayan), Kristel Anne Las Piñas (Central Signal), and Jeramie Mae de Vera (South Daang Hari).
Winners of special categories were: Las Piñas, Miss Friendship; Anjudette Filio, People’s Choice Award; Trixie San Pedro, Miss Talent; Quizon, Best in Swimwear and Evening Gown; and Mauricio, Miss Photogenic.
The presentation of the Mutya ng Taguig 2014 is something that should be emulated by other beauty pageant organizers.
