Marlon Stockinger has literally been living life in the fast lane for so long that he believes slowing down is “not an option.”
“I just want to keep going. I just want to grab every opportunity allowed me,” he told Bulletin Entertainment in a recent chat.
The 21-year-old’s attitude, aggressive as it might be for some, has taken him places.
Only last year, Stockinger bagged his first win in the 2012 GP3 Series at Monaco (where he was able to set his first pole position and fastest lap of the race), making himself the first Filipino to win a formula race in Europe.
Prior, Stockinger won titles and honors in international derbies such as the Formula BMW Pacific 2008 Championships and the Senior Rotax Max World Finals 2007, among others.
Stockinger’s efforts have been noticed by movers and shakers of the sport already. Just recently, he became a member of the prestigious Lotus F1 Team serving as one of seven junior team drivers.
“This is very important in that I am now going to be trained by one of the top teams in the world to be the best I can be and I’m just so excited. I live and breathe car racing so this is quite an important step for me.”
According to Stockinger, nothing can keep him away from his passion.
“Not even the most beautiful girl,” he laughs.
A close friend of racer-turned-actor Matteo Guidicelli, Stockinger admits to seeing a possibility of forging an acting career in the not so distant future. “It looks fun actually so yeah,” he said.
When prodded to name the leading lady he’d want to work with, he smiled, “Anne (Curtis) ‘cause she’s just so beautiful and talented.”
