DAGUPAN CITY, Pangasinan--The showdown between Team PNoy and the United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) in City of Pines on March 17 is a far-fetched scenario.
Team PNoy campaign manager Sen. Franklin Drilon said the administration slate will not give in to the whims of UNA, which has been challenging them to match its crowd during its campaign rallies.
"We just go there, go up in the stage and explain our platform. Yung sabong iiwasan namin," he said in an interview at the Stadia Convention Center during the Team PNoy campaign rally in this vote-rich province.
"Papakita namin kung anong pinaglalaban namin, yung platfrom ni PNoy. We will continue the reforms which created jobs, economic growth, 4Ps, Philhealth, those are the things that we will present to the people of Baguio, hindi yung sabong kung sinong mas marami (ang tao)," he stressed.
The Team PNoy and UNA are expected to hold their campaign rallies tomorrow in Baguio City, which is led by Mayor Mauricio Domogan of UNA.
President Benigno S. Aquino III and Vice President Jejomar Binay will grace the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) graduation rites.
Binay will be joined by former President Joseph "Erap" Estrada during the UNA rally.
"We have no problems with the crowd, we will present our platform," Drilon said.
