President Benigno S. Aquino III has signed the law allowing journalists to vote ahead of the May 13 elections.
Under Republic Act No. 10380 or the local absentee voting for media, journalists can vote for the positions of president, vice president, senators and party-list representative.
The Commission on Elections has been directed to craft the implementing rules and regulations of the new law, including the accreditation and verification of media practitioners who are qualified to avail of local absentee voting.
RA 10380 takes effect 15 days after publication in two national newspapers.
