PATIN-AY, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur — The P55 million Naliyagan Cultural Center has been finally completed and was recently inaugurated.

Provincial officials said the new facility is located at the sprawling D.O. Plaza Government Center in this village.

The officials added that this cultural center will serve as a venue for major cultural activities, like the annual “Naliyagan” festival and the “Pasko sa Kapitolyo.”

The inauguration rites was led by Agusan del Sur Gov. Adolph Edward “Eddie bong” G. Plaza.

For years, foreign and local tourists who flocked to this village to have a glimpse of the province’s rich cultural and historical heritage have to endure getting wet and muddied during heavy downpours.

This state-of-the-art cultural center can also be used by other regional activities.

Also inaugurated by the local chief executive were the Capitol Food Court, and Power House project.

The funding allocation of the projects came from last year’s 20 percent Provincial Development Fund.
