Angono has new police chief
ANGONO, Rizal – A new police chief here was installed by the municipal government recently. Installed was Supt. Herminio Cantaco Sr., who replaced Supt. Henry Daaca in a turnover ceremony at the Angono Police Station. The event was witnessed by Mayor Aurora Villamayor, Supt. Jaime Filoneo, the deputy provincial director for administration, and other officers of the town’s police officer.
In her speech, Villamayor thanked Daaca for his leadership as being the town’s police chief for the past several years. She also challenged Cantaco to even surpass Daaca’s achievements in relation to his job of solving crimes and maintaining the peace and order in the municipality.
“I will give my all-out support in your leadership as the town’s police chief,” Villamayor said. Prior to his new appointment, Cantaco was the chief of the Intelligence Section at the Rizal provincial police office. His other training include Officer Advanced Course in Fort Bonifacio in 2001; COPS at Recom 4 in 1996; SPI Combat Course in Rizal PPO in 1995; Recolec Training in Rizal in 1994; Finance Officer Basic Course at PNP Tracom in 1992; P2LT Training Course PC at PC-Tracom Recom 3 in 1985; PC Basic Course at PC-Tracom Davao City in 1983; and SSROC CI-04-A at SRTCCP Capinpin, Tanay, Rizal. Cantaco was born and grew in Taytay, Rizal.
