Resto group calls out Chuck & Joe, deems apology 'disappointing'

Do you know Chuck and Joe? No? Well, you should by now.

Real name Chuck Aquino and Joe Abad, the two avid TikTokers are now making much noise but for all the wrong reasons.

Apparently, they decided to create a video of them stealing stuff from a restaurant.

They meant it as a prank, of course.

But the video also included these instructions: "do not make eye contact " and "no one will ever know."

RestoPH, an association that supports Philippine restaurants and their employees, didn't like it.

At all.

In a statement, they said they're "deeply concerned and saddened" by the "irresponsible" Tiktok video, believing it might encourage others, especially impressionable youth, to copy the act.

"While the influencers have posted an attempt at an apology, it was disappointing, as their video is still up on Tiktok," they said.

They added, "The quest for ‘views’ and ‘hits’ must be balanced with integrity...

"These kinds of acts should not be emulated for virality and 'comedy.'"

As of writing, the two already deleted the video.
