IATF suspends inbound travel from NCR+, Cebu, Davao to Western Visayas
Inbound travel from "NCR-plus," Cebu City, and Davao City to the Western Visayas has been temporarily suspended for a week, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) announced on Monday, April 5.

This was after the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases approved the request of the local government units (LGUs) in Region VI to temporarily suspend inbound passenger travel from the said areas into the region.
The DOTr said the directive covers returning residents, tourists, authorized persons outside of their residences (APOR), returning overseas Filipinos (ROFs), and overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).
The transport of essential goods, such as food and medical supplies, military aid, and relief efforts will not be affected by the one-week travel moratorium from April 4 to 10, the DOTr said.
The restriction also does not apply to drivers and helpers accompanying rolling cargoes.
The government has decided to extend for another week the reimposition of an enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in Metro Manila and its four adjacent provinces—Rizal, Bulacan, Cavite, and Laguna, also known as NCR-plus, amid the surge in coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases.
Some areas in the world-famous Boracay Island, which is located in Western Visayas, have been placed under localized lockdown to also stem the rising number of COVID-19 infections.
