STO. DOMINGO, Ilocos Sur – Policemen found the body of a housewife with a bullet wound in the head near her house in Barangay Poblacion, this town last Tuesday.

Senior Inspector Arsenio Ramos, Sto. Domingo police chief, identified the victim as one Olive Battara, a native of Lallo, Cagayan and resident of Barangay Poblacion, this town.

Ramos said the body of the victim was found at an area some 50 meters from her residence.

Policemen earlier suspected that the victim had committed suicide, noting the presence of a handgun near the body.
