Rose gold is always a refreshing choice.
Rose gold is always a refreshing choice.

I'm a sucker for bright, colorful prints, and Glam Rock watches have definitely caught my eye. Their designs remind me of international fashion house Pucci’s sophisticated, whimsical prints, and local designer Kate Torralba’s quirky taste on patterns. Barely four years old, this global watch brand, unsurprisingly, is doing quite well.

With commercial offices in Italy, Switzerland, Hong Kong and the US, this luxury watch brand was an idea just waiting to happen here in our own luxe-obsessed part of the world. “We are proud and happy to have succeeded to make this partnership with Emerson and Ivan Yao of the Lucerne group,” says Glam Rock’s Isabelle Mujean, who flew to Manila from France for the brand’s launch. “We have known them for years and have always admired their professionalism and the passion they put into each project they do. We are now looking forward to launch Glam Rock at its best and give to the Philippines all the attention that it deserves to make it another Glam Rock success.”

Celebrating Mujean’s and the brand’s arrival, Lucerne hosted an intimate party with a special, private viewing of the latest capsule collection of Glam Rock watches called “Smalto” at the Power Plant mall. Aficionados of designer bags would be glad to know that these watches complement any of your fave accessories. A wide variety of fashionable straps and case covers are yours to mix and match—the possibilities are endless. Materials are of the highest quality as well which includes titamium, 18-karat gold, diamonds, genuine leathers, exotic skins (like alligator and python), and fabrics from France and Italy.

Colorful, printed cases are the highlight of this capsule collection. Hand-finished, interchangeable case covers in enamel finishing give off a playful vibe, with colorful, hand-inlaid swirls to match! Art takes on a different form through these timekeepers, as it involves a precision-cast mold designed to hold each color in a specific pattern; and everything is done by hand. “Italian artists would spend years learning to perfect the process,” shares Enrico Margaritelli, CEO of Glam Rock. “Even though modern technology has made some aspects of the production faster, it still takes the hand and eye of a master craftsman to make it a reality.”

Glam Rock is available at Chronos at Powerplant Mall, Lucerne in Glorietta 4 and Shangri-La Plaza mall, Wrist Pod at The Fort and Adora in Greenbelt 5.
