Marcos, chairwoman of the Senate Economic Affairs Committee, said she is currently focused on the myriad problems caused by the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on the economy, education, and health sectors.
During a ZOOM interview with Senate reporters, the lady senator from Ilocos Norte said the matter would be handled by ‘’Pulong,’’ referring to President Duterte’s son, Davao City Rep. Paulo Duterte, who is one of the three authors of the PPP bill.
Opposition Senators Franklin M. Drilon and Leila de Lima shot down the proposal and called it "plain politics…and stupidity.’’
