Daring duo Marc Nelson and Rovilson Fernandez crossed out yet another item in their bucket list when they did GMA-7’s top-rating show “Hole in the Wall” last Tuesday.

Finally, they were able to tell themselves they survived a Japanese game show, or the local version of it. And thanks go to dare sender Jocel Jimenez, a ramp model from Davao, who wrote Q Channel 11’s “Dare Duo” asking for two things – a chance to do an activity with host Marc and Rovilson, and to appear on national television.

Jocel probably knew how best to hint at what she wants to fulfill on her own bucket list as she was able to accomplish both by teaming up with Marc and Rovilson in the hit game show “Hole in the Wall. ”
“Hell no!” was Marc’s and Rovilson’s reaction when they were asked to take the “Hole in the Wall” challenge. “No, we were excited. We are a big fan of the game’s Japanese version. We exchange and watch the video clips on YouTube. When we were in Japan, we thought of joining the game, so yeah, we were excited for this one,” Marc, dressed in the “Hole in the Wall” skimpy suit, qualified.

Their team, tagged “Luchadores,” went against “Silver Bullet” members Arthur Solinap, Akihiro Sato, and Say Alonzo. Of course, HITW hosts Yaya (Michael V.) and Angelina (Ogie Alcasid) were there to complete the fun-filled episode. “The hosts were great. They were hilarious,” shared Rovilson. “We expected to get wet,” Marc added.

And wet it was, as both teams fell in the pool a few times. But it was the “Dare Duo’s” team who made it to the final round. Although they got close to winning the program’s P1.1 million jackpot prize, the Luchadores were eventually declared “losers” by Angelina and settled for the consolation prize of P50,000.

Had they won the P1 million, Rovilson would have bought himself a house and lot in Forbes Park and a Nissan GTO. He would also have considered having a hair transplant. As for Marc, a private plane would be enough.

Marc, who revealed that the toughest challenge he had on “Dare Duo” was rapping in Tagalog, and Rovilson, who admitted that the break dancing segment was pretty tough, both agreed that the “Hole in the Wall” dare was “undoubtedly, by far, the most fun.”

“Jocel was a great team captain. She did a great job,” Rovilson went on. Marc confirmed “Doing HITW was the most enjoyable dare we’ve ever had. Love to do it again.”

And there’s definitely more dares in store as the show features a “Dare Duo” Urban Challenge in the next episodes. This time, Marc and Rovilson will challenge chosen past dare senders and celebrities to take on all the dares they’ve done in the past.

That would probably be easier for the two than endure Tagalog minute, a segment on “Dare Duo” which requires them to speak in Tagalog for one whole minute. “That kills me! But it’s a lot of fun. We learn something new,” shared Rovilson.
