Cockfighting heavyweights are expected to highlight the National Cockers Authority (NCA) Big Event, a six-cock derby, on June 30 at the Ynares Sports Center in Pasig City.

The NCA Big Event will see two power teams pitting their aces to determine the top team in the cockfighting circuit.

The group of boxing icon Manny Pacquiao will face the group of Gerry Ramos and Ferdie Buensalida.

Fighting under Pacquiao are Patrick Antonio, Chavit Singson, Bong Pineda, and Boy Royo.

On the other hand, battling alongside Ramos, and Buensalida are Gov. Ito Ynares, Eric dela Rosa, Ruel Ricafort and E. Santos, Manny and Arman Santos, and the Firefly Group of Rey Allas, Ernie Austria and Hessie Mallilin.

Another equally famous group includes Vice Mayor Nestor Mercado and Lito Orillaza, Ellan Nagano, Pete Hizon and Boy Mayor, Tonton Uy, and Pampanga’s prominent cockers Efren Canlas, Jun Jingco, the Madlangbayan brothers, and Jet Fernando.

Participating solo in the Big Event are well-known cockers Elmer Nepomuceno, James Uy, Ricky Bebot Roxas, Tony Tan, and Tony Marfori.

The NCA has imposed a 2 kilogram minimum and a 2.450 kilogram maximum weight limit for the fighting roosters.
