Las Pinas City LGU inoculates medical frontliners

The Las Pinas City government has started inoculating the medical staff of the City Health Office (CHO), Health Centers, and personnel assigned at the Temporary Treatment and Management Facilities Safe 1 and 2 to ensure their protection from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

According to Dr. Arvin Marbibi, administrator of the Temporary Treatment and Management Facilities 1 and 2, a total of 352 medical workers were administered the COVID-19 vaccine.

Marbibi said that 151 of them were inoculated with Sinovac and AstraZeneca vaccines at the University of Perpetual Help Medical Center on March 20.

Other medical workers received their vaccine shots at the 4^th floor of the Las Pinas Doctors Hospital also on March 20, with 74 of them getting the AstraZeneca dose while 127 were given Sinovac.

Marbibi said they will continue to inoculate all medical workers assigned to the health centers, CHO, and the city’s temporary facilities to ensure continued service to the city's residents afflicted with the virus.

He said that with the surge in COVID-19 cases in the National Capital Region, Mayor Imelda Aguilar wants to give all medical personnel COVID-19 jabs to ensure that they will be safe from the virus especially because of their exposure to COVID-19 patients.
