Ray Parks played a key role in Nagoya Diamond Dolphins’ sixth-straight win on Sunday, Oct. 22, in the B. League that also saw multiple Filipino imports missed their respective games.

Parks fired 11 points, three rebounds and seven assists as Nagoya drubbed Shinshu, 101-75. The Brave Warriors team played shorthanded after missing some of their players in the contest including Filipinos RJ Abbarientos and Matthew Aquino.
The Diamond Dolphins now share the top spot of the West Standings with fellow undefeated team Osaka Evessa.
Also enjoying early success in the brand new B. League season were the Thirdy Ravena and the San-En NeoPhoenix, who swept their weekend assignment against Gunma Crane Thunders, 95-78.
San-En have now won their fourth-straight win for a 5-1 record despite Ravena cooling down from his three-straight games of double-digit output, finishing with just nine points and three rebounds.
Carl Tamayo and the Ryukyu Golden Kings exacted their revenge over Yokohama B-Corsairs, 91-74 to split their weekend matchups. Tamayo wound up with seven points and seven rebounds in over 23 minutes of action.
Matthew Wright registered a DNP after top scoring for the Kyoto Hannaryz in the last two games. Kyoto though managed to buck the absence of Wright for their breakthrough 88-70 win over Akita Northern Happynets.
Also still missing for their respective teams were Jordan Heading and Kai Sotto due to respective back injuries. Nagasaki, though, hardly missed the services of the lefty Fil-Australian gunner as it completed a 91-74 bounce back win over Shibuya Sunrockers.
Sotto’s Hiroshima Dragonflies, however, saw their wings cut by Utsunomiya Brex 71-60.
Victories also remained elusive for Dwight Ramos and his Levanga Hokkaido after being at the bad end of a 78-56 beating at the hands of the Mikawa Seahorses, 78-56.
Over at the B2 League, Kiefer Ravena orchestrated the Shiga Lakes to a 88-78 win over Bambitious Nara. He finished with four points but had seven assists to his name.
Greg Slaughter, on the other hand, rode the bench in Rising Zephyr Fukuoka’s 87-67 win over Niigata Albeirex BB while Roosevelt Adams continued to miss games for the Yamagata Wyverns who lost to Kobe Stokes, 81-77.
