As much as many women find it very necessary to pamper themselves, go to salons and get facials in spas every week, truth of the matter is, they simply can’t, as their ever-so-hectic schedules and their tight budgets won’t let them. But however tough the times are and  demanding work could be, there is no escaping the apparent that women need their dose of beauty and confidence pick-me-uppers. Why? Nowadays, it’s more shameful to go in public with a wrinkled and pockmarked skin than to make a major fashion faux pas—and many have taken notice.

Achieving such perfectly clear, healthy, and smooth skin may seem unattainable especially to ordinary women who can’t afford to break the bank with ludicrously exorbitant professional anti-aging skin treatments. But at a recent Avon event at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza, performer and Filipina icon Lea Salonga begged to disagree.

Over the years, Salonga has grown even more stunning, exuding an aura of timeless elegance and grace from the time we have all seen her in Miss Saigon up to now that she’s become a wife and a mother. And as surprising as it may sound, her secret to effortless beauty has always remained the same—Avon’s skincare line that is affordable and fuss-free instead of laborious and expensive trips to a dermatologist.

“Not everyone knows this but I started using Avon products when I was just a seven-year-old budding stage actress at Repertory Philippines. It was my mom who introduced me to the brand and since then Avon has been a staple item in my kikay kit. So when I started doing plays at West End and eventually on Broadway, the habit stuck. I used Avon products to help keep me look great on and off stage. Indeed, I consider myself growing up with Avon,” said Salonga.

Avon, Salonga added, has always met her lifestyle and her ever-changing needs. And now that she has reached that certain age of becoming more prone to facial lines and wrinkles, Salonga has only Avon products as beauty and skincare companions to thank for, namely the brand’s latest Anew Rejuvenate line.

According to international clinical studies, the Anew Rejuvenate line promises to deliver anti-aging results of an expert facial treatment, as it is formulated to replicate the technology used by professionals in clinics and in spas. Through the line, women can now do three basic and simple technologies of skilled facials wherever and whenever: exfoliate, as in to smoothen out skin’s texture; extract, as in to remove dirt from pores; and moisturize, as in to even out skin tone and appearance.

“In just seven days, Anew Rejuvenate reduces the look of lines and wrinkles, makes skin smoother, and refines the appearance of pore size and improves skin tone.  With continuous usage, the skin will look dramatically invigorated in just two weeks,” maintained Avon skincare category head Anna Garces.

Salonga further revealed, “At this stage of my life, I need additional care for my skin. Anew Rejuvenate perfectly fits this skincare need. My daily regimen consists of applying Anew Rejuvenate Day Revitalizing Cream with SPF 25 before leaving the house and using Anew Rejuvenate Night Revitalizing Cream before going to bed.”

When asked what’s impressive about Avon’s revolutionary skincare arsenal, Salonga noted that it gives her the benefits of an anti-aging facial at an affordable price. “Anti-aging spas are superb because they make your skin look younger and fresher but they are quite pricey and take time to do. With this pioneer breakthrough from Avon, I can achieve younger looking skin at the comfort of my home—and that means more bonding time with my daughter, Nicole,” she ended.
