Chef Toshi Obigane on ‘Secrets of the Masters’
Japanese cuisine has always captured the hearts of Filipinos. That’s why today, “Secrets of the Masters” will bring that authentic Japanese goodness that everyone is looking for through Chef Toshi Obigane!
His exhibition of prowess on “Secrets of the Masters” starts with “Anago Nanbanzuke,” an authentic Japanese cuisine of sea eel and vegetables marinated in vinegar sauce that has an exciting blend of fresh, savory, and tangy flavors. Chef Toshi then follows this up with a serving of “Tori Ageni” which in English is “Simmered Chicken and Eggplant with Soy Sauce.”
Equally fabulous is the “Gindara Yuan-Yaki” or “Grilled Black Cod,” and “Tuna Tataki.”

‘Dear Friend’ presents ‘Kay Tagal Kitang Hinintay’
The heartfelt torment of second chances will be felt in “Kay Tagal Kitang Hinintay,” “Dear Friend’s” latest episode that promises to steal your heart away today, right after “SOP.”
“Kay Tagal Kitang Hinintay” reignites the romance between former sweethearts Polo Ravales and Sunshine Dizon. The two returns on screen as former lovers who accidentally crossed paths after a painful break-up.
Completing the cast are Chynna Ortaleza as Dianne, Rochelle Barrameda as Aunt Verna, Mel Martinez as Samsara Princess Violago as Anne and Dinky Doo as Nestor. The episode is directed by Don Michael Perez.
Levi’s launches new set of accessories
Stay True Philippines, the official distributor of Levi’s Accessories in the country, has launched a never-before-seen collection of footwear, bags, flip-flops and caps, designed for a fashionable urban living.
Levi’s Accessories product manager James Sy said the array of ultramodern accessories would reach out to shoppers with distinct tastes. “The company has decided to take the brand a notch higher by coming up with accessories that can be considered at par with high-end clothing in terms of quality and appeal,” said Sy.
Sy said he is excited about the release of Levi’s Reused shoes, which give new life to a pair of worn-out Levi’s jeans. With Reused, each pair of run-down denim are manually cut and re-assembled. Parts like the watch pocket, copper rivets, yellow stitching, belt loops, buttons are transformed into other forms of accessories. Levi’s was the first to use this technique.
The fresh collection of Levi’s accessories is available in all major SM Department Stores and Levi’s store outlets nationwide.
‘Erik Santos: The Jim Brickman Songbook’ on ‘ASAP’
The Prince of Pop Erik Santos will launch his newest album entitled “Erik Santos: The Jim Brickman Songbook” on “ASAP 09” today after “Matanglawin” on ABS-CBN.
The famous American songwriter and pianist Jim Brickman collaborates with Star Records in producing this very inspiring album ought to bring good music to its listeners.
“The Jim Brickman Songbook,” consists of 10 beautifully crafted love ballads from the piano virtuoso / composer, Jim Brickman, seven of which are past hits of Jim (“By Heart,” “Valentine,” “Where’s The Good In Goodbye,” “Love Of My Life,” “Destiny,” “The Gift” and “Your Love”) while the three songs were written specifically for Erik Santos (“It’s A Sin To Break A Heart,” “If I Just Believe” and “My Love Is Here” as the carrier single).
Special ‘Rosalinda’ re-run airs Sunday
Viewers will have another chance to relive the enchanting moments with the most beautiful rose on television as GMA Network airs a special pilot week re-run of the top-rating primetime drama “Rosalinda” dubbed, “Rosalinda: First Week, First Love,” today after “Mel & Joey” on GMA-7.
“Rosalinda” is topbilled by Carla Abellana, who plays the title role, and Geoff Eigenmann, who plays Fernando Jose. Making the life of Rosalinda more colorful are Fedra (Katrina Halili); Florencio (Roderick Paulate); Valeria (Sheryl Cruz); Alfredo (Ariel Rivera); Javier (Gary Estrada); Soledad (Glydel Mercado); Evangelina (Jessa Zaragosa); and Roberto (Yul Servo).
