Although Pop Star Princess Sarah Geronimo will already turn 21 years old on July 25, she still won’t entertain suitors and is thankful if her mother helps keep boys away.

“Hindi naman sa tinatakot sila ng mommy ko, pero kung natatakot man sila sa kanya, mabuti nga ‘yon,” she said at the grand opening of the 4th Unica Hija store at SM Fairview.

Some of the celebrities who have been linked to Sarah include singer Mark Bautista and actors Rayver Cruz and John Lloyd Cruz.

“Hindi po nagparamdam sa akin si John Lloyd at si Rayver. Yung kay John Lloyd, talaga lang maasikaso siya at friendly bilang katrabaho. Si Rayver naman, we’re just getting to know each other better,” she said.

Sarah denied acting cold towards John Lloyd in one of the segments in ‘ASAP’ last week because she is allegedly affected with rumors linking John Lloyd to Ruffa Gutierrez.

“Hindi naman ako girlfriend ni John Lloyd! Ano ba?!?” she said.

What about Mark Villar, son of Senator Manny Villar?

“Na-a-appreciate lang po niya siguro yung talent ko. Talent, ha? Hindi beauty.”

Like her mom, Sarah believes she should at least be 25 years old before she accepts suitors.

“By then kasi ay hindi na ako ganun ka-naive at fragile. But it’s not as if may countdown. Ang pag-ibig po, darating lang yan. Career ko na muna ang aasikasuhin ko for now,” she said.

However, Sarah acknowledges that nothing is wrong if men want to seek her company as a friend.

“Pero hanggang kwentuhan o tawanan lang kami,” said Sarah.

When she decides to open her doors to love, Sarah will be biased towards non-showbiz guys.

“Para malayo sa intriga. At sa temptations. Ano’ng qualities meron dapat siya? Secret…”

Turning serious, Sarah added: “I want my first boyfriend to be my last, too. Ang sabi na nga ni mommy, mas maganda daw sana kung yung unang boyfriend mo ang makakatuluyan mo.”

Whoever that guy is, he has to wait. Sarah, as always, is swamped with work what with several movies in the horizon, possibly co-starring Judy Ann Santos and Gerald Anderson.

The 21-year-old star remains one of the most bankable product endorsers around. Sarah is so credible and effective with her endorsements, that Unica Hija had no qualms signing her up to a three-year contract.  

During the grand opening of the Unica Hija store inside SM Fairview last July 18, Sarah sang to, signed autographs for, and posed for pictures with her fans. She also gave away surprise Unica Hija gifts to lucky patrons.
