John Llloyd Cruz crossed paths with his ex-girlfriend Liz Uy at an event by Swatch that introduced the actor as its new commercial model.

The meeting, John Lloyd said, was not a chance encounter.

“Alam ko…I had a feeling na pupunta siya today. I was very happy to see her kasi hindi ko na siya madalas makita ngayon,” the actor said in “Showbiz News Ngayon” on July 22.

John Lloyd and Liz embraced each other when they met on stage. The actor was visibly excited then.

“Siyempre, pag may nakita kang tao na matagal mong hindi nakita, and medyo hindi mo na nakikitang madalas…”

John Lloyd also talked about his new look.

“Eto kasi yung new look na mine -maintain ko para sa movie with Ate Vi [Star Cinema's 'In My Life (A Mother's Story)'] . Malapit na [yun], sa September,” John Lloyd said.

He mentioned his forthcoming television show with Angel Locsin. John Lloyd said he is just waiting for the actress to finish her current soap, “Only you.”

John Lloyd gave his reaction to Sarah Geronimo’s statement that she wants her first boyfriend to be non-showbiz.

“Para malayo sa intriga, sa temptation,” Sarah explained in a taped interview.

“Kahit naman sinong babae, ayaw namang ma-associate or mapunta sa isang lalaking….. kahit naman ako, ayaw ko naman ng lalaking ganoon,” John Lloyd said.
