Manilans led by Mayor Alfredo Lim and Vice Mayor Isko Moreno, through City Resolution No. 102 principally authored by Councilors Carlo Lopez, Edward Maceda, and Raymund Yupangco and approved unanimously by the city council, congratulated the Iglesia ni Cristo on the occasion of its 95th anniversary on Monday.

“Manilans take pride in the fact that Iglesia ni Cristo had its formal organization and recognition in Punta, Sta. Ana, Manila, 95 years ago today under the late Kapatid Felix Y. Manalo,’’ the resolution said.

From its humble beginning in Manila, the Iglesia Ni Cristo has now spread far and wide in almost all continents in the world.

“What makes Iglesia Ni Cristo an inspiring religion is its mission to instill discipline and good moral character among its faithful.

“The City of Manila congratulates Iglesia ni Cristo, more specially Kapatid Erano G. Manalo, its National Executive Minister, and Kapatid Eduardo V. Manalo, its Deputy Executive Minister, for their able and inspiring leadership.’’ (Beng Ansula)
