The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 567 out of 1,548 passed the Architect Licensure Examination (ALE) given by the Board of Architecture headed by its Chairman, Architect Armando N. Alli, and with two other members, Architect Angeline T. Chua Chiaco, and Architect Marietta B. Segovia.

The examination was held in Manila last June 26 and 28, 2009.

The 10 topnotchers are led by 1st placer, Ramil Belleza Tibayan from University of Sto. Tomas with 84.10 percent.

Others are 2nd placer Emerson Mapa Sacbibit of Polytechnic University of the Philippines-Main (Sta. Mesa) with a score of 83.70 percent; 3rd placer Araschid Jikiri Abdul Abdul of University of the Philippines-Diliman with 82.70 percent; 4th placer Ana Maria Regina Goitia Pavia of Saint Louis University with 82.20 percent.

Fifth placers are Rojeh James Tumlos Balahay of Capiz State University (CIT) (PSPC)- main campus, and Joanna Jane Ngo Comsti with 80.80 percent; 6th placers are Allan Bargos Acielo of Mapua Institute of Technology, Keen Maghoyop LucaÑas of Lyceum Iligan Foundation and Hajie Jove Sac of Far Eastern University Manila with 80.60 percent;

Seventh placer Jonathan Jiddu Bordador-Bulatao of University of the Philippines-Diliman with 80.40 percent; 8th placer Darrel Dave Canete Anino of Cebu Institute of Technology with 80. 10 percent; 9th placers are Jasmine Christie Antonio Bejar of University of the Philippines-Diliman, Joel Roman De Leon of Univesity of the Philippines-Diliman, and Ivan Cabrera Genelsa of Paamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila garnered 80 percent, and 10th placer John Philip Angquiangco Mendoza of Far Eastern University Manila with 79.90 percent.

The results were released in 20 working days after the last day of examination.

Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will start on August 3, 2009, Monday but not later than August 24, 2009, Monday. Those who will register are required to bring the following: duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, current Community Tax Certificate (cedula), 2 pieces passport size picture (colored with white background and complete name tag), 1 piece 1” x 1” picture (colored with white background and complete name tag), 2 sets of metered documentary stamps, and 1 short brown envelope with name and profession; and to pay the Initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P450 for 2009-2012. Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

The oath taking ceremony of the successful examinees in the said examination as well as the previous ones who have not taken their Oath of Professional will be held before the Board on August 30, 2009, Sunday, at 1:00 o’clock in the afternoon at the Fiesta Pavilion Manila Hotel, One Rizal Park, Manila.

Pursuant to Section 40 of Republic Act 9266, mandatory registration for membership with the United Architects of the Philippines, Inc. will start on Monday, August 3, 2009.
