CLARK FREEPORT ZONE – The Clark Development Corporation (CDC) and members of the Metro Clark Advisory Council (MCAC), with key officials of Clark Investors and Locators Association (CILA), have convened to craft a set of synchronized guidelines and protocols for Clark’s transition from enhanced to general community quarantine (GCQ).
CDC, MCAC and CILA Execs convene to prepare for New Normal
(CDC Communication Division / MANILA BULLETIN) CDC President Noel Manankil sought for harmonious coordinated policies with surrounding communities in the downgrade from enhanced community quarantine (ECQ). “We understand that the LGUs surrounding Clark will also be coming up with their own protocols, and 95 percent of the workers in Clark are coming from our LGUs. So, we see the need to harmonize our policies so that there will a clear understanding of restrictions and issues on ground when we transition to General Community Quarantine,” Manankil said. Guided by the Inter-Agency Task Force by-phase protocols and guidelines in transitioning ECQ to GCQ as shared by Bases and Development Authority (BCDA) President and CEO Mr. Vince Dizon in a teleconference, CDC, MCAC and CILA execs discussed the guidelines and protocols on entry and exit points of the Freeport; use of permitted transportation, phasing of business operations and workforce, requirements for employees inside and outside the workplace, COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019) testing, handling, and tracing among others. Meanwhile, the MCAC local government units (LGUs) Mabalacat City, Angeles City, Porac in Province of Pampanga and Bamban, Capas of Tarlac will receive P2 million each worth of goods and items from the CDC. CDC Board of Directors, headed by Jose “Ping” De Jesus, led the approval and grant of these donations to support and provide additional aid to the adjacent communities. In recognizing the efforts and initiative of its locator companies, partner organizations and agencies amidst the crisis. This resolution cites CDC’s “heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to all the COVID-19 Donor-Locators for their significant donations and contributions to the affected sectors of the society in this period of enhanced community quarantine.”
