Your favorite morning show “Sis” celebrates its eighth anniversary with an exciting week-long special dubbed, “Todo Panalo sa Otso!” The “Sis” Anniversary Specials!

Wednesday is hot seat day for some Kapuso stars. Watch Janice, Gelli and Carmina ask their eight toughest questions to eight of the most respected names in the showbiz industry. Included in the list are Pinoy Comic Icon Joey de Leon, Internationally Recognized Comedian Michael V., and The People’s Champ Manny Pacquiao!

Thursday features the best Kapuso singers, who will all go through a tough showdown of vocal prowess. On the A Side are R&B Prince Jay-R, Soul Princess Kyla, La Diva’s Jonalyn Viray and Heartthrob Balladeer Gian Magdangal. The B Side includes one of OPM scene’s most admired and talked about band, Aegis.

It’s party time on Friday as the week is culminated by heating up the floor! Dance idols Mark Herras, Ryza Cenon, Rochelle Pangilinan, Sexbomb Girls and a lot more will definitely bring the house down with big time production numbers.

Cinemanila Machinima Filmfest calls for entries

The 11the Cinemanila International Film Festival, set in the city of Taguig, will present a new feature called the Machinima Film Festival.

Machinima utilizes widely popular videogames such as Grand Theft Auto, Sims 2, World of Warcraft, etc. are integrated in video footages/film which students can make without the usual expenses involved in filmmaking.

A growing filmmaking movement, Machinima targets gamers who have wondered of the what-ifs scenarios a game character could have done or the different storyline the game could have taken.

Cinemanila opens Machinima Film Festival to all individuals or groups, whether amateur, professional or independent. Entries must be the sole work and/or justly represented by the entrant. Collaborative pieces must include credits for additional contributors.

Interested individuals or groups may choose to join one or both of the two categories: (1) short film and (2) music video.

ABS-CBN Star Magic discovers stars through its public acting workshops

Star Magic will offer another series of public acting workshops on October to December 2009. In tradition of discovering of potential stars, Star Magic Workshops once again opens its doors to aspiring actors and actresses who would like to hone their acting skills through the tutelage of award-winning directors and actors from the film and TV industry. Instructors: Bodjie Pascua, Director Mel Chionglo, Director Phil Noble, Vangie Labalan, Ricky Lee, Jake Macapagal and Edna Mae Landicho Star Magic Artist Training Director Rahyan Carlos is spear heading the group. Aside from the acting workshops for teens and adults there will be acting workshop for kids and dance workshops too.

Flippish.com., the first online Pinoy Video Channel

With the vast reach of the Internet, most people are turning to the web for their daily dose of entertainment. Flippish.com is the first online Pinoy Video Channel, providing its viewers with a wide variety of shows that are of high video quality. In celebration of the website’s official launch, a party was held recently at Fiama in Makati.

Roxanne Barcelo, also known for her role as Xandy on Flippish, was the host for the evening. The program began with a performance by the band Indios; the first band featured on Flippish.com’s hit show, “LSS.”

Flippish announced that there would be 2 new additions to their line-up of shows. First is “Weekend Warriors,” a show that features a group of guys that take you all over the Philippines to try out some of the awesome activities you can do over the weekend. Another show they launched is called “Brain Freeze.” With a cast of six young actors, “Brain Freeze” is a show that comes up with various skits on a weekly basis.

Behind Flippish.com is a group of fresh, young individuals who write, produce, and edit their own shows. Chrina Cuna, Kring Elenzano, Dos Ocampo, Roman Olivarez, and Jav Velasco are the Video Producers who are known as the Flippish ViPs.

The evening came to a close as the guests partied to the music of DJ Momukhamo of the Flippish series Hip-Hop Lokal, along with other hip-hop artists.
