Despite talks that they are seeing other people nowadays, ex-couple Sam Milby and Anne Curtis attended the star-studded Star Magic Ball together last Aug. 30 at the Rizal Ballroom of the Makati Shangri-la Hotel.

Sam, prior to the event, was hesitant to reveal the identity of his date. When asked by a “Showbiz News Ngayon” reporter about it, Sam vaguely said, "Basta, abangan n'yo na lang."

According to observers, Sam and Anne had a good time at the ball. Anne reportedly danced up a storm with Sam giving her ample support.

Interestingly, Sam and Anne were caught fighting--on the dance floor at that--during the first Star Magic Ball held last August 5, 2007. Their fight was caught on camera and was uploaded to YouTube.

When Anne and Sam worked together for “Dyosa,” the couple was rumored to have been seen fighting frequently as well. The situation was said to have become so intense that it affected their work relationship, with their director even acting as a go-between for them.

During the press conference for “And I Love You So,” Sam told Manila Bulletin Online that he and Anne did date a few times recently “but that’s all there is to it".

He even denied driving for Anne during a weekend gimmick.

"She (Anne) has a driver now," said Sam of the actress who is said to have been traumatized by a road accident she recently had. 

During the same interview, Sam also revealed that Anne's new suitor, a non-showbiz guy, is in town.

Sam, on the other hand, is currently being linked to a slew of actresses including her “And I Love You So” co-star Bea Alonzo whom he has complimented lavishly in public of late.
