The FINEX Secretariat has been receiving nominees to the ING-FINEX CFO of the Year for 2009.

Recognizing the outstanding CFO (chief financial offier) of the Year is a yearly tradition to acknowledge CFOs with outstanding performance and thus thrust to prominence among peers. This yearly nationwide search for the outstanding CFO concludes with an awarding ceremony in November which is usually attended by the glitterati and personalities in the business world.

The selection for the CFO of the Year focuses on values of integrity, leadership and effective stewardship based on the highest standards of business and professional ethics and specific instances of wealth creation in the new economy.

The search is open to all CFOs of local or foreign-owned companies, public or private companies operating and registered under Philippine laws. It’s also open to Philippine-owned or local subsidiaries of multinational corporations.

The search for the CFO of the Year is presented by the partnership of ING Bank of Manila and Financial Executives Institute of the Philippines (FINEX). It is co-presented by FINEX Foundation, International Association of Financial Executives (IAFEI) and CFA Society of the Philippines with Philippine Star, Business World and ANC as its media partners.

Beginning 2009, the Ateneo Graduate School of Business was tapped to be the Academe partner for the Search

The awarding ceremony for the CFO of the Year is scheduled on November 25, 2009.
