CAMP DANGWA,Benguet - The weeklong manhunt operations conducted by Police Regional Office-Cordillera have resulted in the arrest of 31 individuals wanted by the law from October 23 to 29.
Records from the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division (RIDMD), for the week, Baguio City Police Office recorded the highest number of arrests with 14 arrested followed by Benguet PPO with eight arrests, Mountain Province PPO with six arrests, and Kalinga & Ifugao PPO with one arrest each.
BGen.Mafekino Bazar,regional director said, the weeklong manhunt operation was highlighted with the arrest of two individuals listed as Most Wanted Persons, of which, one is listed at the City Level and one at the Station Level.
As the result of intensified police presence and campaign against criminality, during the same period, 64 municipalities in the Cordillera Region and four police stations of the Baguio City Police Office recorded zero crime incidents.
In Abra, 24 out of 27 municipalities recorded zero crime incidents while in Benguet, 8 out of 13 municipalities recorded zero crime incidents.
In Kalinga, 6 out of 8 municipalities recorded zero crime incidents while 5 municipalities in Apayao recorded zero crime incidents.
Further, Loakan Police Station (PS4); Aurora Hill Police Station (PS6); Kennon Road Police Station (PS8), and Marcos Highway Police Station (PS10) recorded zero crime incidents out of 10 police stations in Baguio City.
The entire province of Mountain Province & Ifugao recorded zero crime incidents for the period.
