Convergys Corporation, a global leader in relationship management, has announced that it has completed its major five-site expansion in the Philippines with the opening of Convergys’ newest contact center in San Lazaro, Manila.

Located in an integrated leisure and business community near Manila’s University Belt, Convergys’ newest facility in San Lazaro has the ability to hold nearly 740 employees throughout approximately 47,000 square feet of workspace.

This opening marks the fifth facility Convergys has added throughout the country following its major expansion announcement in May 2008. Convergys’ new sites include Cebu Asiatown i3, UP TechnoHub, Nuvali Evozone, and Glorietta 5.

The new Glorietta 5 facility, situated among one of the largest shopping districts in the country and in the midst of the premier business district of Makati City, encompasses over 17,000 square meters and has the ability to hold approximately 2,700 employees.

Convergys’ headcount in the Philippines now tops 17,000, with 3,000 jobs added since the beginning of the year.
