Las Piñas LGU celebrates solo parents' family day

The city government of Las Piñas conducted a family day celebration to honor and recognize solo parents and their children.

The activity, with the theme “Urbanization and Filipino Family: Together in Strengthening and Developing the Country,” held at the Verdant covered court, was organized by the City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD).

Vice-Mayor April Aguilar joined the more than 300 individuals from five families in each barangay who attended the activity.

According to Aguilar, the activity was held to promote and improve family life.

Aguilar said it will also help establish support networks among families in the community and strengthen the active participation and involvement of solo parents.
