Man, nephew caught with P25,200 marijuana in Bacolod

BACOLOD CITY – A 53-year-old man and his nephew were arrested and yielded 210 grams of suspected marijuana worth P25,200 in a buy-bust operation in Purok 3 Magsungay, Barangay Singcang-Airport here on Sunday, Sept. 25.

Police identified the suspects as Ynaque Claridad, 24, and Ernesto Claridad, residents of Barangay Singcang-Airport.

Major Joery Puerto, head of Police Station 8, said they have been monitoring Ynaque since last week.

Puerto said they did not expect to recover such volume of marijuana.

But he believes that it was probably part of the one kilo of marijuana that arrived here recently.

Puerto said that Ynaque is under their drugs watchlist while his uncle allegedly joins him in the illegal drugs trade.

Both are street level individuals, according to the police.
