Suicide blast kills at least 10 in Pakistan: police

PESHAWAR, Pakistan, Sept 18, 2009 (AFP) - A suicide car bomb attack killed at least 10 people after tearing through shops and vehicles at a market in a small Shiite-dominated town in northwest Pakistan on Friday, police said.
"A suicide bomber blew up as car filled with explosives in the market. Ten people were killed and many wounded," said Ali Hasan, a local police officer in Ustazai town where the attack happened.
"We have recovered 14 dead bodies. Many people were wounded. The suicide bomber was sitting in a car," said police spokesman Fazal Naeem in the nearby garrison town of Kohat.
