The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) of Bulacan is closely monitoring the water level in three big dams in the province in preparation for the possible effects of tropical depression “Queenie.”
The PDRRMO said that as of 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Angat Dam recorded a water level of 198.08 meters, slightly higher from 196.58 meters on Oct. 30. However, it is still below the 212 normal water level.
The Ipo Dam water level was at 100.89 meters, below the spilling level of 101.00 meters; while the Bustos Dam recorded a water level of 17.30 meters, quite high from the spilling level of 17 meters.
The PDRRMO noted that tropical storm "Queenie" weakened into a tropical depression as of 11 a.m. Tuesday.
