Jaymee Joaquin passes away

Jaymee Joaquin has passed away.

The former actress-TV host, 44, has been battling cancer for years.

She died Wednesday, Oct 18.

Her passing was announced on social media by her friend, Fides VA.

The post read: "Our dearest Jaymee Topacio aka Jaymee Joaquin, Jaymee Wins officially became an angel today. You've lived the most beautiful life, Jaymee. You will be greatly missed on this planet."

Jaymee left show business in 2010 to study in Australia.

She was diagnosed with early stage breast cancer six years later.

She has been documenting her journey via "Jaymee Wins" on YouTube.

Asked why she chose "Jaymee Wins," she explained, "Ako, naniniwala ako sa puso't kaluluwa ka na dapat kini-claim na iyong victory, di ba?

"Kasi fighting, may struggle pa yan, e! Bakit nag-i-struggle ka pa, e, puwede naman manalo na, di ba? So dapat claim na, Jaymee wins!

"I know that I will win. In my heart, I have faith in the Lord."

She was declared cancer-free in 2018 but she had a recurrence.
