Sunshine Dizon narrowly escaped death when her car and three other vehicles were hit by a van along Scout Rallos in Quezon City on Sept. 23 while they were taping for the soap opera, “Tinik Sa Dibdib.”

QTV’s “Balitanghali” reported on Sept. 24 that Dizon and her brother had just gotten into her car when it got hit by the van. She said nobody was hurt because the others involved in the taping were inside the shooting venue.

“Balitanghali” reported that the van was rented by singer-actress Shirley Fuentes and that the driver, Bonifacio Claud, lost control because his foot got stuck between the break and accelerator pedals.

“Kaya hindi ko maiangat ang paa ko dahil sumasabit sa pedal ng break,” Claud pointed out.

Dizon and the owners of the other damaged vehicles, which included an SUV owned by “Tinik sa Dibdib” director Gil Tejada Jr., are dismayed with the seeming " inaction" of the car rental service that owns the van.

“Mag-explain man lang sana (sila) kung ano’ng mangyayari sa amin dito,” said Dizon.
