2 men wanted for frustrated murder arrested in Parañaque, Pasay
Two men wanted for frustrated murder were arrested in separate operations conducted by members of the Warrant and Subpoena Section of the Parañaque and Pasay police.
The Southern Police District (SPD) identified the arrested suspects as Abner Agustin, 41, a helper from Parañaque City; and Richard Runez from Pasay City.
In Parañaque City, Col. Renato Ocampo, city police chief, said Agustin, tagged the fifth most wanted person, was arrested at around 10:00 a,m, on Monday, May 15 in Barangay San Dionisio, Parañaque City.
Ocampo said Agustin was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Leilani Marie N. Dacanay- Grimares of Parañaque City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 296 with a recommended bail of P380,000.
He said the suspect was facing charges for frustrated murder and robbery.
In Pasay City, Col. Froilan Uy, city police chief, said Runez was arrested at around 4:00 p.m. along Apelo Cruz in Malibay Pasay City on Tuesday, May 16.
Uy said the suspect was arrested by the combined team of WSS and National Capital Region (NCR) Maritime Police Station’s Maritime Law Enforcement Unit.
He said the suspect, who was ranked as the 10th most wanted person for the crime of frustrated murder, was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Elenita Carlos Dimaguila, of Pasay RTC Branch 298 with bail recommended at P200,000.
The arrested suspects were detained at the Parañaque and Pasay police custodial facility.
