Are military men behind the robbery at Harrison Plaza last Tuesday?

This was the question raised by a Manila police official Friday as authorities confirmed that the getaway vehicle used by the robbers who carted away an estimated P.2 million worth of cash and valuables in the upscale mall belongs to the military.

Supt. Ernesto Fojas, chief of Manila Police District Police Intelligence Operation Unit said they found that the vehicle with license plate SFN 529 belongs to the Army’s 301st Infantry Division in Iloilo.

For his part, Chief Insp. Edgardo Carpio, chief of the MPD Theft and Robbery Section (TRS), clarified that only the personal cash and valuables of the employees of Harrison Plaza was taken by the suspects.
