Heartthrob Sam Milby cheated death again by coming out unscathed in a freak vehicular accident last Oct. 3 in Libis, Quezon City.

The actor's Super Grandia was bumped from behind by a dump truck causing it to hit another passing vehicle before it rolled and fell on its side.

“Pinalagpas ko lang 'yong dump truck sa right ko. Ako nasa left lane lang. Hindi ako nag-swerve, hindi ako nag-break, diretso lang. Hindi ko nakita 'yong mga kotseng nasa likod ko. May natamaan 'yong van ko sa likod na malakas. Biglang natumba 'yong kotse ko sa gilid tapos nag-slide," Sam narrated on “Showbiz News Ngayon,” Oct. 5.

Although the actor emerged unharmed, his van was severely damaged.

“Yung side, sirang-sira. May mga bintana nasira, nawasak," said Sam.

Sam was grateful that he was the one driving “kasi kung nandoon ako sa likuran na walang seatbelt, baka kung ano na ang nangyari sa akin."

The actor called up his ex-girlfriend Anne Curtis right after the accident.

We were supposed to go to Pampanga for her niece’s first birthday, he explained. 

This is not Sam's first car accident. In July 10, 2007, his Toyota Syquia was hit by an FX van. The actor was driving Liz Uy (John Lloyd Cruz's ex-girlfriend) home when the incident happened.

Interestingly, Anne also figured in a car accident a few months ago. Sam was among the first to come to Anne's side during the incident.

Sam was up and about a day after his accident. He and Anne were seen then in the wake of director Wenn Deramas' mother.
