Rotary Club Salcedo Makati helps CHILDHAUS
CHILDHAUS (Childrens’ Health Improvement and Life Development) was founded on Oct. 28, 2003 sponsored by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, Quezon City and the Ricky Reyes Foundation.
It was a project conceived by Mother Ricky to provide temporary shelter to young patients who undergo treatment for serious ailments and whose parents can not afford transporting them from faraway provinces; more so comfortable dwelling.
On its 6th year CHILDHAUS located at the PCSO Compound in E. Rodriguez Avenue, Quezon City has survived through the help of golden-hearted benefactors. The latest is the installation of a water-purifying system donated by the Rotary Club of Salcedo Makati for safe potable drinking water for the patients, guardians and staff.

Reliving the ’60s
The ’60s is greatly remembered for its revolution in fashion and sociopolitical vision. Mostly, though, that era became popular for its music. Different genres spiced up the industry with legendaries like The Beatles, Rolling Stones, and Abba among others.
To date, the influence of this generation still lives on: Mod-inspired clothing, haircut, and, of course, retro music. Amidst remakes and revivals, one music group sticks to ’60s music in its purest form: Spirit of ’67.
Although the band went on hiatus in the past five years, Spirit of ’67 is reuniting in an upcoming charity concert. Dubbed “Celebrations of the Spirit: Love, Music, and Dance,” the one-night affair is slated on Oct. 16, at the posh Shaw Pavilion, Wack Wack Golf and Country Club.
With the help of Unilab Philippines, event organizers will give proceeds of the event to their chosen beneficiary, Sagip Buhay Foundation.
“We are looking forward to this event because we get to help Sagip Buhay through our music,” says Spirit of ’67s Bimbo Santiago.
“We want this to become an unforgettable night for us and for our audience,” adds Bimbo. “It’s going to be a fun mix of music, dancing, and charity work.”
