Two persons were injured and about 200 families were rendered homeless when a fire broke out in Parañaque City, Friday afternoon.
Injured were identified as Drew Bautista, 32 and Ernesto Ars, both residents of Fourth Estate, Barangay San Antonio, Parañaque City. Both victims suffered laceration and abrasion while helping in controlling the fire.
Investigation showed the fire broke out at about 5:37 p.m. at the ground floor of the two-story residential building along Fourth Estate, Barangay San Antonio, Parañaque City.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said that the fire immediately spread to nearby houses which were made of light materials.
The fire lasted for three hours and placed the damage to about P800,000.
The BFP also said that residents in the area claimed that the cause of fire was due to a lighted candle that was left unattended.
