Senate Majority leader Juan Miguel Zubiri wants to leave GSIS and move to the abandoned Film Center of CCP. Can the Senate get ghost voters?

* * *

But Senate Minority Leader “Nene” Pimentel objects that the Film Center has cracks in the foundation, columns, and walls due to earthquakes. Good to house crackpots!

* * *

Pimentel said that the Film Center was designed to exhibit movies. Ideal to house matinee idol solons.

CAVEAT EMPTOR: GSIS and SSS will extend loans to help flood victims. Those who didn’t lose their homes might lose them on interest payments.

* * *

GSIS charges compounded interest on delayed amortization payments. My P8,000 months’ late amortization payments (P24,000) on housing mortgage was rolled over 15 years and charged P650,000 compounded interest.

* * *

But maybe that’s due to defective database; and GSIS is suing IBM and the contractor Questrionix. If they fix it, can I still get my house and money back?

DENR chief Lito Atienza wants mayors who do not comply with proper solid waste management jailed for the devastation their neglect caused in the flooding. Retroactive to include former mayors of Manila?

* * *

The DENR chief should watch Matang Lawin to learn from the NEW, IMPROVED Atienza. The son is the father of the man…

DILG proposes a 2010 budget P1.61 billion higher than this year’s appropriation to hire 10,000 new police officers and 1,000 new officers for the jail and fire protection bureaus. It’s also election year in 2010.

It’s the women’s movement second lost cause in a year. The first one fell through when Nicole chose to withdraw to the Land of the Free.

The Laguna Lake Development Authority (LLDA) on Friday recommended the “forced relocation” of some 100,000 people living around the still rain-bloated Laguna de Bay. A problem for a government body with all Authority and no Development.

GOOD NEWS/BAD NEWS. The fountain of youth may exist after all. The Institute of Healthy Ageing at University College London discovered that by reducing their calorie intake 30 % mice and primates extend their lifespan by 40 %, with health benefits. The bad news is that you will have to spend your senor citizen years as a mouse or a monkey.
