In annual celebration of the National Tourism Month every September, the Department of Tourism-NCR is presenting "Distinctly Metropolitan Manila 2009" showcase from September 30 to October 23, 2009 at Clamshell I, History Town Philippines, Intramuros, Manila.

A sequel to the "Best of Metropolitan Manila" showcase, the event is part of DoT-NCR's promotions program to expand general awareness on Metro Manila as an ultimate tourist destination in this part of Southeast Asia Pacific region.

While the project would present the 17 local government units of Metro Manila capsules, the showcase will be a one-stop venue where the visitors would have the opportunity to discover the many historical treasures of Intramuros, a major historical site and center of culture in the country; and experience the best Metropolitan Manila has to offer - its people, dances, cuisine, arts, music, and festivals.

Metropolitan Manila is composed of the Cities of Caloocan, Las Piñas, Makati, Muntinlupa, Navotas, Parañaque, Pasay, Pasig, Quezon, San Juan, Taguig, Valenzuela, and the Municipality of Pateros.

A joint effort of the DoT-NCR, concerned national government agencies, the private sector groups and NCR LGUs, the public is invited to come and enjoy the "Distinctly Metropolitan Manila 2009" showcase.
