Police General Oscar Albayalde, Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief, said Tuesday that all concerned parties should move on from the controversial issue that involved radio personality Erwin Tulfo and Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rolando Bautista.

This, after Tulfo issued yet another apology to Bautista over his excessive rants against the top DSWD official in his radio program.
"I think it's very noble of Mr. Erwin Tulfo to do that and we are very much thankful. On the part of the PNP, we accept his sincere apology at sabi nga ni Secretary Panelo, let us move on," Albayalde said on the sidelines of the groundbreaking ceremony of a multi-million peso medical center for the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) at Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig City.
On Monday, Tulfo apologized to Bautista for the second time after he berated the latter over his radio program last week.
"Ako at ang buong pamilyang Tulfo ay nagpapakumbabang humihingi ng kapatawaran kay retired general at Secretary Rolando Bautista sa pagmumura at pambabastos ko sa kanya noong nakaraang linggo on air (Me and the entire Tulfo family humbly asks for forgiveness to retired general and Secretary Rolando Bautista for cussing and disrespecting him on air last week)," Tulfo said in a television interview over CNN Philippines.
The issue stemmed when Bautista declined Tulfo's request for an interview which triggered the radioman's outburst. Tulfo threatened to slap Bautista and dunk his head on a toilet bowl if their paths cross.
This statement elicited furor from active and retired soldiers and Bautista's comrades at the Philippine Military Academy (PMA), including Albayalde.
Bautista, a former Philippine Army (PA) Chief, was Albayalde's upperclassman at the PMA. Bautista is a graduate of the PMA Sandiwa Class of 1985 while Albayalde is from PMA Sinagtala Class of 1986.
Tulfo first apologized to Bautista last Friday but he insisted he would never retract his criticisms against the DSWD executive. He insisted it was part of his job to criticize government officials.
Tulfo's rants resulted to the pullout of the police security detail assigned to him, his brothers Ben and Raffy, and sister-in-law Jocelyn, the ACT-CIS Partylist's first nominee.
The military also recalled the security detail assigned to Ramon Tulfo, Erwin's brother and currently the country's special envoy to China.
Albayalde earlier admitted that Tulfo's behavior was a "factor" in the pullout of their security detail.
However, he assured that the Tulfo family could again retain their security detail if they apply to the PNP.
"Hindi naman natin sila outright dine-deny ng kanilang magiging application kung talagang sila ay mag-apply ng kanilang security detail (We would not outright deny their application for a security detail if ever they apply for one). But of course, they have to undergo the same procedure as any other applicants," he said.
The PNP Chief said they must undergo the mandatory threat assessment if indeed there remains a risk to their security.
