President Duterte has acknowledged the recent decline in coronavirus disease (COVID-19), and has thanked God for this with the daily average of new cases going down below 5,000 and the reproduction number getting way within the low-risk range set by the World Health Organization (WHO).

Meanwhile, government authorities ensured that there would be enough vaccine supply for the forthcoming administration of booster shots on medical frontliners, elderly and those with comorbidities next month.

The OCTA Research Group has also reported that Metro Manila has reached low-risk level for COVID-19 infection with four National Capital Region (NCR) cities declaring that they have already reached herd immunity.
